We do have some rules here- so please read, and if you agree to them comment to this post with your response to the question below- please make sure to include your Rav id- so we know who you are.
The details:
- Minimum package value = $35 + shipping
- Must include 2-3 skeins of malabrigo (no MORE or LESS) - this limit includes any knitting/crocheting you do for your partner. i.e. if a hat takes 1 skein, you can only send an additional 1-2 skeins.
- The mandatory stalking period runs through January 20th- packages may NOT be sent till after the 20th.
- All packages must be sent by February 20th.
- You must respond to all the Question & Check In threads w/in 3 days. (unless you have permission from the swap mods- i.e. you will be on a pre-planned internet free vacation)- these threads are posted frequently, so you HAVE to be checking ravelry at least every other day.
- If you do not complete the questions, and are not responding to moderator PMs & emails, you face possible expulsion from the swap group, and having your name added to the Ravelry "naughty swapper" list.
Please let us know if you are unable to complete the swap - at anytime after registration. We will work to re-assign your partner.
Make sure you complete both steps of the registration process- you will NOT be fully registered until you do.

My dream vacation? Getting a chance to visit Poland with my dad. We've joked about going for years, but with his health, we'll probably never make it. We still talk about going, though...

Spain would be amazing to go back to, as well...but I like to stay in one place during vacations and Europe is too tempting to travel around.

nulawlady here! It's hard for me to say what my dream vacation is! I love the beach and teh caribbean, but I like seeing new places. I think that, currently, my dream vacation would be to spend about two months in Europe, getting to see all the off-the beaten path places!
This is evamae. I'd love to visit Europe! Pretty much anywhere in Europe, really, but someday my mom and I are taking a trip to Greece (or at least, we talk about doing it).

My dream vacation would be to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, followed by a good amount of time in Vietnam- on the beaches and eating all the wonderful food. All of this with hubby and Things in tow!

My dream vacation would have to be touring Europe and especially seeing the winter Vienna sunset and all the classical architecture. Montemarte in Paris would be awesome too, but I've been watching too much Moulin Rouge.

Hi! This is TheWindWraith from Rav (the gal with the Collies in her avatar) but my name is actually Jerrica and being slightly less capable with the internet stuff, I'm not entirely sure how to make this thing say my user name from Ravelry instead of my actual name?? :)
In any case - my dream vacation was until recently to go to New Zealand and meet my friend who I met in grade 4, as a penpal from Australia initially. We grew up and kept in touch all these years and in 2008 she was getting married to her husband Kent and then taking a honeymoon in Southern Islands of NZ, and my dream was always to meet her and see AU and NZ.
Well....through the generosity of my family and a heck of a lot of saving, my husband and I WENT!!!! We missed her wedding by a day but the vacation together was worth it --- 17 days of bliss, 12 of which were double honeymoon days travelling, laughing and having the best time of our lives. We'll never ever forget it - and both still talk excitedly about it. Our husbands were very much alike and got along like wildfire and well, Davina and I always were great friends through email/phone and FB/letters etc so it wasn't too surprising we hit it off like long lost sisters in meeting.
So until then THAT was my dream vacation. Now my dream vacation is to go with my husband to go all through the REST of Australia and NZ. Once wasn't enough! Though first we're planning a visit to Ireland - his dream.
So that's our dream! You never know, crazier things have happened :) And if anyone wants to see pictures, I have thousands and could talk about that trip forever *grins* Truly, the best thing we have ever done.

Glokeroo here. Right now my current dream vacation is Turkey- spend a while in Istanbul, go to the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, etc.. then maybe travel down the western coastline. I'd love to explore the eastern part of the country- I guess since this is my *dream* vacation, it would be safe for me to do so!

Dream vacation in the Caribbean, where there is clear, warm, blue water and lots of good things to eat. I just want to lay on the beach, listen to a cheesy audiobook, and knit!
My dream vacation? At least 2 weeks at the Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia under the guidance of Pema Chodron. 2 weeks of silence and meditation. Yum!

My dream vacation would take forever! My goal in life is to see the whole world, every kiosk, village, city, etc. and really experience it as the "natives" experience it. So that would be my dream vacation to travel the world and live in different places for a few months.

ok, dream vacation. At the moment anywhere warm sounds good but one that I am really hoping to plan and take in the next 2 to 5 years is a dude ranch trip to Wyoming/Montana with all the kids. It has been over a decade since I was there and I miss it.
I have not been outside of the continental United States so my list of places I'd like to see is long....
