"Heat Wave" by Martha and the Vandellas- My FAVE song of ALL TIME!

Katie said...

um, a song? yikes. That's really hard.

I'd have to go with "O Fortuna", the opening song from Carmina Burana (I think I have just solidified my reputation as a total geek...). The other option would be Barber's Adagio for Strings. I'm not that into classical/opera (ie. I like listening but I don't know that much about it, other than what I was exposed to dancing) but these two really speak to me.

One song?!?! You're talking to a person with about 1300 songs on her ipod.

Ok, Ok...an arbitrary dip into said ipod played All Over The World by Strange Fruit, so I'll go with that one. :-)

Dude. Can't do the just one song thing. So I'll randomly pick a song from my iTunes that may or may not be one of my favorite songs. It's "Beloved" by Melissa Etheridge. And I think it actually falls into the top 10 songs.

And OMG Katie loves O Fortuna too!!! Squee!

ornerie here...

I solemny swear I am up to no good. oops, I mean, I promise to comply.

as for a favorite song, Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin ties with Handels Messiah (the whole thing, not the wimpy slacker version ;))

andrea said...

"Too much Time on My Hands" by Styx

House of Cher said...

Handel's Messiah is one of my favorites, but most classical especially works for piano and violin.

Side note, I tried to go to survey monkey and I could not get in. I spoiled Me215 and Evamae. I was spoiled by Knitwithwine and Bravebird. I would prefer not to have an international partner.

My Rav id is houseofcher.

Riah said...

First off, I agree.

Secondly, when I was in London, I became completely enamored with Countin' on a Miracle by Bruce Springsteen, and nothing's usurped its place yet, so that would be it.
